Cargo Cosmetics Brow How Brow Defining Kit | review

Right now, it’s all about the brow.

No matter where you look in the beauty industry, there are new brow brands and products making an appearance. And while Cara’s Caterpillars may have had their day, I think it’ll be some time before brows lose their emphasis. For me, I’m not sure they ever will.

Not when I can happen upon gems like this little compact of joy… by a brand I’d never even heard of, Cargo Cosmetics. Their brand story seems a little wishy-washy, but they’re about life as a journey, rather than a destination, and having ‘makeup to move you.’

My first experience with them is their Brow How Brow Defining Kit. The outer packaging is really lovely, all textured cardboard and a foiled logo. The inner packaging not so great, a little on the cheap feeling side, and a bit of a let down after the beautiful box. The compact contains a brow powder, a wax and a tiny angled brush. What I did really like was the little instruction leaflet that shows how to measure your brows.

But, prettiness in packaging is of course just part of the story – all totally forgotten when I tried this product. Oh my. It’s incredible! It goes on so smoothly and is easy to both define and exaggerate with. You just brush on the wax, then follow with the powder. You can use the flat side of the brush to create the perfect, defined inner corner of your brow too. I’m a mid depth brunette and was loving the dark shade, but I do like my brows quite strong,

Despite a super shiny skin day today, it lasted brilliantly too.

Debenhams is one of the only places I can see this product online, apart from the usual random sellers on Amazon. If you want to know more about Cargo Cosmetics, their website is here.

A total success and an unexpected new favourite, don’t you just love it when that happens? Which products have wowed you when you least expect it?
