Looking through my meagre selection of posts so far, it seems that exfoliation is something I rather harp on about. I think it’s because I love the feeling of totally clean skin.
I’ve had this sample of Dermalogica’s Daily Resurfacer in my skincare stash for a while and curiosity finally got the better of me. Unlike a traditional exfoliator, this isn’t a cream or powder. So what is it then? My best description is a moist little finger puppet.
You simply put it on your finger and buff skin. Great if you have specific areas that you’d like to target. Each little pouch contains a single use, slightly roughened ‘puppet’ which is infused with alpha and beta hydroxy acid and enzymes. It’s not too abrasive at all, but I did find it easy to apply too much pressure and ended up a little red in the face (to be fair, that was totally down to my own over-exuberance), but probably not for very sensitive skins. This is a leave on formula, which I’m not a huge fan of. I like to rinse product off. So I did.
I’m a fan of a deeper exfoliation, but you don’t like the traditional grains, then this one could be for you. I get the feeling that it would be good for uneven skin or early signs of ageing, to gently even out the tone and texture.
As each dose is contained in a sachet it’s great for travel. No tubes to leak anywhere, or liquids to stuff into those impractically small airline bags. They’d be great for the gym bag too.
Dermalogica Daily Resurfacer is available here. At £71.30 for 35 sachets you’ve got to be sure it’s for you, so I recommend stopping by your local Dermalogica salon for a skin mapping service and some advice before you shell out. They might even have some samples you can try.
Have you tried this product? I’d love to know what you thought…
